send mail from command line

Is it possible to change the default sender address when using the mail?

If I loginin as joe and send mail from the console using

mail -s "test" test@acme.com

the recipient receives a message from joe@sharedmailserver.com. How do I change this so the message seems to come from joe@joesserver.com ?

The server users qmail.
