Does your question relate to DPNSS (IDA) trunks and calling number or calling name??? I`ve spent a lot of time trying to get "calling name" across a DPNSS link and don`t think it is possible, only on switch or via a isdn/qsig link. If it`s caling number you want it should be straight forward. When Nortel talk about calling name with DPNSS I think it just means it can insert a route name notthe name from the telephone.
We have tried sending names and extensions over TIE lines between Nortel PBX's and at this time, unless it is configured as an ISDN with PRI and you program the DChannel, you won't get the Name or number disply. JD is correct. When we are going straight CAS T1 then all we get is the Route-Member. You can enter a name in the CPND field for the access code on the Route, but that will only tell you which route the calls is coming in on.
