Hello,

Is it possible for the receptionist to know when a user has his/her phone in Send Calls? The receptionist will have a busy indicator on her 2420 expansion module for users and needs to know when the user is not at his/her desk so she doesnt transfer a call to that person.

No she will not be able to tell. But it would be good to send that call anyway so it would go to that persons voice mail wouldn't it? With SAC activated it will go to what ever the first place of coverage is.

It sounds like you may need to create an ACD group and have them use Available/Aux instead.
Then you could generate reports, too.

I think SAC is an abused feature, and since you can't report on it there is no way of knowing.
We wrote a script that turns off SAC system wide every 2 hours.
 
Thanks. Only reason this is an issue is because the current system the business is using is an ESI and when user A puts their phone in DND and have an appearance on user Bs phone they can see their status.
 
Give her a priority button and she can make it ring even with SAC on.
