Some users have rights to "send as" another mailbox. Therefor they sometimes have more then one mailboxes in their exchange client.
E.g. User A starts its Exchange client with his/her own Inbox.
Added to this he/she opens mailbox of user B and user C.

Mailbox B receives a message which is being replied by user A. if this reply is sent (and the From: field in the message is omitted) then the message is being sent with user A as From: address. So, for each message user A has to fill in the From: field with user B.

Is it possible to configure Exchange in a way that the From: field is not needed if a reply is performed on a Inbox-message as desribed in above example?

By default, in the above case, mail coming into mailbox B will be "from" mailbox B if you do a reply (well, it does here anyway).

Is that what you are questionning?

It is difficult to explain exactly because this is not my daily language (in Holland)

I have included some other mailboxen in my Exchange client (4.0, Exchange server is 5.5) and can open the mail in the Inboxes of these mailboxes.
Because the "Send as" Permission in the Permissions property page (in the Admin tool) is set I can send mail on behalf of the other mailbox.
The problem is however that for each reply on a mailmessage I have to fill in the From: field with the name of this mailbox. If I don't do this then the mail is still sent with my name as sender instead of the name of the mailbox from which I reply on a message.
I hope this clarifies my previous story

Regards,
Onno
