Hi,

We're in the final stages of a server upgrade and we have just upgraded to Exchange 2000 on the server with Windows XP on the Desktop & Outlook 2000.

When I configure the permissions for users in AD to allow someone to send as, it doesn't appear to be applied as when the person who has just been permitted to allow this in AD tries to send as (i.e. set's their from field in outlook to be that person), it says that you don't have permission to send on behalf of.

The permission is definately there in AD and I have checked that the user trying to do this is part of the group that has send as rights. Also, send as works fine for the domain administrator, but I suppose that's to be expected.

Can someone please advise what i'm doing wrong because i'm ripping my hair out here.

Thanks

Just set the permission From the Exchange sever MMC console and not from the DC or from the admin tools of your computer.
