semaphore timeout

Has anyone ever seen anything similar to this:

Tape Label Read: The semaphore timeout period has expired.


I keep getting this on my SDLT drives (in a StorageTek 9710)running Legato 6.2 on W2K server.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

Turned out to be an HBA problem. We were using QLogic 2200F HBAs, and switched to Compaq-branded Emulex LP8000's. The problem went away immediately. Thanks!
