I am writing a report that pulls the production of work orders. At the completed production of a work order, product is a assigned a tag number.

I have successfully pulled work order # and tag number(s) into a report. However, I have a problem if a tag number was later pulled into another work order, completed and retained the same tag number.

I am only interested in reporting on the first work order that created the tag numbers. When I run the report I get the same tag numbers showing up under all the work orders that it was attached to. How do I just filter for the first work order.

Group: Work Order

Thank you.

Hi,
How can you determine which was first?

By the completion date. The first completion date would is also the tag creation date.

Hi,
It would help to have all the needed info:

What is the record structure..
do all the records have a completion date field?
Is there a separate field for tag creation date?

You may be able to use a command object to select the minimum value for the date field ( that would be the first or earliest) for each tag and use that to link to the table so that only those tags with those dates are returned
