I've trawled the Acrobat fora here and in the Adobe site and can't find the answer to my problem....
I have created a form with fillable fields (InDesign file exported to pdf) and I want colleagues to be able to fill it in and email it back to me. The problem I'm having is that the Email client automatically defaults to Microsoft Outlook, not Teamware that I use, and I cannot find an option anywhere either in Livecycle or Acrobat to specify the email client. Any ideas? I'm using Acrobat Professional v8.1.2Pro.
Many thanks for any help.

...for other users on a mac (if you come across the need) this setting is controlled by the Apple Mail program, it is therefore not available in the Acrobat preferences...

...you may/will need to change your email preference program in the "Apple Mail > Preferences > General" options under "Default email reader"...

Eugene,
I have tried this but there's still no option to choose the email client I need, which is Teamware - there's only Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, and Windows Live Mail. Presumably there is a setting somewhere on my system that allows me to choose Teamware as the default client?
Thanks again for your help.

...in vista go to "default programs" in the control panels...

...on XP you can change it in the internet options dialog in the controls panel...

...however if your email client is not listed then you may have to contact the email vendor or otherwise there will be a setting within the email client itself in the preferences...

...typically most email clients ask you when installed or on launch to specify it as the default client if it detects it isn't currently, if your email client doesn't perform this check automatically, then look in the email clients preferences, contact the vendor or use a better email client like thunderbird...

...another point to make is that some web browsers can have an independent setting to launch another email client other than the one specified in the windows control panel...

...this can confuse you into thinking that is the systems default email client when in fact it isn't...

...if a web browser launches another email client than the one set in the system control panel then you need to change the web browser settings...

...as changing acrobat isn't working for you then the system setting is overriding acrobat so you therefore need to change the system control panel or the email client itself...

Thanks Eugene and Andrew - unfortunately I don't have the option of changing the email client - it's a corporate package. I will pass your suggestions to my IT buddies and see if they can get round this.
