I am having trouble with select expert. I want all of my records in my key table to display even though the criteria of linked table loans.indate = "Y" is not met. For example
I would like the followig results:
field1 field2
A 23
B 10
C 0
D 45
E 17
F 8
G 0
Instead these are my results:

field1 field2
A 23
B 10
D 45
E 17
F 8
I know there is a simple fix for this problem but I can't seem to find it. Does it lie within a formula when using the select expert?
Thanks,

Sounds like you need to create a left-outer join between the two tables.

Go to the Database Linking Expert, right-click the link and change it to left-outer join.

I already have the linkning expert set to left outer join for the two tables. I placed my records in the details to determine if sorting was necessary. Is it possible to evaluate based on a field and use a formula when using a running total?
Thanks,

If you are using the selct expert to limit based on the "right side" table, Crystal assumes that the link is in fact an equal join and not a left outer anymore.

When I remove the select expert criteria all of field1 records appear. The count running total (field2) displays the correct data but the sum running total(field3,not shown) is incorrect. The sum seems to be multiplied by the count runnning total(field4, not shown) next to it that is pulled from another table. Is there a way to evaluate based on a field and set criteria (formula) Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
