When using the Select Expert, is there a limitation to how many records you can exclude on a main report utilizing the "Is not one of" criteria? Or is it limited based on characters (e.g. 256)?

Not sure if this matters or not but the records would be in number form from the field > sales data.customer number.

Thanks!

I suspect what you meant to ask is whether there is a limit to the number of elements within a not() criteria, not the number of records excluded.

If you select the Report->Edit Selection Formula->Record, you can edit what is constructed by the more limiting Select Expert, and there isn't a 254 char limit, as with the CR 8.5 and below output from a formula.

There probably is a limit, but it's very large.

Thanks SV!

Is there any difference, limitation wise in doing this vs. Report>Select Expert>New - adding the field and selecting "Is not one of" and then adding each customer number?

Thanks again for your response.
