I have a database of clients (P9). One memo field is entitled "to do", which I put there to hold data about things to be done relative to that individual. Is there a way (without programming) to get p9 to select records and print a report (last name, first name, etc.) only if there is text in that field? [sig][/sig]

The problem is that a secondary index cannot be set on a memo field. Therefore, you probably can't use a setRange or similar method. I don't think what you want can be done without code.

Hmmmm...

Maybe I could add a field to hold a logical variable...something like "Task Remaining" Y/N...then select based on that field.

thanks for the reply. Was beginning to wonder if anyone ever saw my post. [sig][/sig]
