Hi,
As part of the security policy for the server I'm running, I specify 4 settings in the registry under Current_User/Control Panel/Desktop. These are:
ScreenSaveActive=1
ScreenSaverIsSecure=1
ScreenSaveTimeout=900
SCRNSAVE.EXE=C:\WINNT\system32\logon.scr
I have all these settings correctly set, but I'm getting a warning from SceCli and errors from Userenv as well as details in the WinLogon.log file. The log gives a "Warning 3: The system cannot find the path specified." for all 4 entries whenever it tries to apply the security policy.
It doesn't really seem to make sense, and I can't for the life of me find out why these errors are showing up. It's not terribly critical, but it's annoying to have to keep seeing these errors show up in the event log.
If you can think of anything that I'm doing wrong, I'd appreciate the input.

Hey,
Just an update -- this seems to just be a bad security template... Unfortunately, I can't apply a new one due to security procedures...

update policy by running from cmd

secedit /refresh_policy userpolicy and
secedit /refresh_policy machinepolicy

may help. worth a try

If this isn't a local policy, try using network paths instead of local paths.
