Security Permissions

We have a database with user level security and the permissions are set for exclusive use. My other issue is that when I am making changes under admin privileges, someone else may get in the database and it bumps me out of exclusive use and names this as exclusive. Is this something that should happen or is there a way to correct this? The other people bumping me out do not have admin privileges.
