Does anyone know how to limit specific users to specific terminals?

To be more clear, i want to let say user x enter his AIX sesssion from his own terminal and also he can make remote login from only 2 terminals say y and z.otherwise, the system should display a message for him "you are not allowed to access the system via this terminal".....i know that there exist software that can handle this task, but i want to provide this security without software tool.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I think you can limit this with the "ttys" parameter of /etc/security/users.
Issue lsuser -f username and check the value of ttys. Now it should be set to ALL. Change this.

Bye.

yes, i already tried but it didnt work as ttys doesnt take the ip address or the name of the terminal from which a remote login was done.
