Security automation in Transformer

I have to implement user level security with more than 500 user classes and 15 reports. Is there a way to link the categories to the user classes programmatically (especially if there exists a security file outside of cognos access manager)?

Hi,

I advise you to define your security in your format (ascii file, DB...) then read it by a prgm and apply it using the transformer API.

I would advise that even for Impromptu security.

NEVER consider a model or a catalog as a source (or storage) of security.

It is quite easy to do.

Actually you have the 'Transformer Macro Reference Guide' that is installed with the application.

You will find very good samples in it and the document is very well done.
