SecureClient Policy Updating Issue

Hi

We have recently intoduced SecureClient with the desktop Policy module to our remote users. If the user clicks on "update site" while connected to our lan the policy fails to update however if this is done externally to the network the policy updates sucessfully. We run R55 on Secureplatform and the SecureClient is R60 (build 19). Anyone know how to fix this issue?

I think your policy update is failing because you are already originating from the inside of the firewalls network and any desktop policy update requests it is expecting to see should be coming from an address external to itself. If you think about it, unless you are on the DMZ or externally hooked up, why would you need to update your policy since you are already being protected by the corporate firewall anyway? That is why it works outside, but not inside. You could try look in your tracker logs and see exactly why is is dropping the request and modify your secureclient rules accordingly, but my guess is that it assumes it is being spoofed somehow.
