Secure Sites

The system is runing IE6.0.2600.0000.xpclient
I cannot access any secure sites. It also will not do the Windows Update. It will not run a new install of IE 6.0 from the internet.

first thing - check the date/time on the PC. If it's not correct, this can prevent access to secure sites.

The date and time are correct. Ive tried just about everything possible.I thing its time to reload os.

There are a number of possible causes to this problem, and it's not really uncommon. As manarth said, the most common is the date and time. Here are some other possible solutions:
