hallo,
i need the information about the sid from a w2k server.
where can i find the information? is there a tool, wich can help?
Your help will be appreciated.

Got to microsoft's web site and get a tool called GETSID.

That are good news! Thanks. But now, there is another question I have. Under W2k the server sid should be unique.
Is this statement true?

Yes, all SID's are unique and never re-used.

"security identifier
(SID) A data structure of variable length that identifies user, group, and computer accounts. Every account on a network is issued a unique SID when the account is first created. Internal processes in Windows refer to an account's SID rather than the account's user or group name."
