Section Event Method

Can anyone pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee tell me how to write section event in crystal report ?

I am not familiar with that term..

The only events supported by BOE XI R2 are File Events, Custom Events and Schedule Events

Is a 'section event' a detail record? Then use the 'wizard' to get them and you'll find it writes a basic report for you.

Crystal works by 'rows' that can include several different records. It's a report-writing tool and not a full language.

Basically i am trying to open up a OLE object by specifying location dynamically through code ..... and i am getting error message as : Permission Denied..!

When i went through the knowledgebase.....it says u can only give dynamic locations in "section format event" ?

Does that make it more clear ? Any help ?

Not anything I've heard of. I doubt Crystal does allow it, since it is basically a report-writing tool. Maybe you could do it SQL, ask at the SQL forum and you can use SQL to collect data that Crystal then used.

They do exist! If you go to support.businessobects.com and do a search on section format event you will hit many articles on these items.

I can't add any more than this. I hope these articles help you.
