I am running Win 20000 SP 2. 3X 128 MB RAM for DV editing.
Dual Monitors - AGP (primary) and PCI (secondary)Both Video Cards are Voodoo 3 2000.
I flash upgraded the BIOS last week to Amibios V2.00.05 (06/13/2001)
Tyan Tiger 100 MB. (440 BX)
Primary Monitor: NEC Multisync P1250 21"
Secondary Monitor: Hyundai HL- 7770A 17"
Both monitors were working well with the Win 2000 video card drivers.
Yesterday,I decided to upgrade to the latest 3dfx drivers for Win 2000. I downloaded v3-w2k-1.03.00 (6.42 MB)
The download supposedly included 3dfx Tools version 2.6.2.116

The updated driver was installed on both adapter cards
Driver Provider: 3dfx Interactive, Inc
Driver Date: 2/11/2000
Driver Version: 5.0.2195.232
File Version: 1.0.0.0734ICD
Driver: 3dfxOGL.dll

When I rebooted on Prompt, Only the Primary monitor opened.
I had to reinstall the Microsoft Driver on the Secondary Monitor to get it (the Secondary Monitor) to work.

I tried to open the 3dfx Tools Manager (Select the 3dfx card) but all I could get in the menu was "Display card selection box (multi-monitor systems only)" This drop down selection box would not open!

Can someone please advise how I can get the 3dfx Tools to open so that I can Tweak for dual monitor support?
(Assuming that I can use the same updated driver for both monitors.)

Thanks for any help!

Were you having any issues with the older drivers? Try going back to them. You're kind of sol since 3dfx went out of business. If the drivers are kinda buggy, you're never going to see another update to them, what's out there is what's out there.

FYI, there are some folks developing third party Win2000/XP voodoo video drivers and according to the information I got, some are being developed by former 3DFX employees. One source is this website: I know there are a couple other sites out there, but don't remember the URLs. Should be easy to find with a quick search on google. I used a third party driver on a voodoo3 3000 a while back and it worked okay on Windows 2000.
