Hello,

I'm currently trying to clean up a system that 3 different techs have programmed. I'm a little confused on how they programmed a few of the secondary ext's on the phones. So the lawyers all have their own DID's, their secretaries have a secondary ext key programmed on their phone. When someone calls in it rings both the lawyers and secretaries phones 4 times, then goes to just the secretaries phone for 3 rings and then forwards to the lawyers voicemail. Problem, they only want it to ring both phones 4 times then go to voicemail. The secretaries phones are programmed in a hunt group each. So I've played around with changing the timers on the system and the hunt groups but it still forwards to the secretaries phone before going to voicemail. It's not programmed in the forwarding path, so I'm out of ideas. Hope this makes sense, I can answer questions in case I missed something.

Thanks in advance!

Is there forward no answer feature set on the Lawyers phones?
How about Dynamic Extension?

I do not think the lawyers phone is forwarded as far as I can see, maybe I'm not looking in the right place? And I guess I'm not as clever as I thought because I don't know where to look for Dynamic Ext Express.

Thanks

It may depend if you even have licensing for DEE.

It is under users.

Excellent, I'll check on that tomorrow and post if I have any more issues.

Thanks a bunch buddy.

Lets start at the beginning. Check your call routing tables. Follow the ring in destination of the DID. If the ring in destination is a hunt group check your recall timer and the recall destination of the particular hunt group. If it is directly to the extension, follow the system forwarding path of the extension. Just remember system forward initiate and advance is system wide!

Great, will check all of these in the morning.

Thanks guys

manager secratery working called attendant (my newly trained tech says) and is probably programmable.

Have a look at the Lawyers phones and check system forwarding paths.

Maybe multiple HG's?

Lawyer & SEC (HG1) recalls to -> SEC only (HG2) that recalls to -> CRA that timeouts to SEC MB.

Start with the CRT like Brian suggested and follow the call flow.
