Secondary E-mail Recipient

recently one of my department managers aksed to be copied on one of his employees e-mail. I set up a secondary delivery recipient under the delivery tab on the users exchange account.

The user somehow knew his mail was being looked at (or copied to the manager) He had some way of detecting this on his computer.

I have made it my personal mission to find out how this users is able to dectect this. Is this a standard feature of outlook ??

Possibly what happened is one of User1's buddies (User2) had a "Read Receipt" turned on.

So when Mgr1 read the message intended for User1, the read receipt was sent to User2 that Mgr1 read the message.

User2 calls User1 on the phone and says "guess what..."
