hi folks,

i got my new library running now. all fine so far.

no i created a new group and a new pool (oldlib).

and i want to do seperate manual Backups to the old lib.

i told the mediapool to use old lib, but every time i start the backup, the new library gets used and is waiting for writing. Then i have to turn it off and kill nsrmmd before making nsr -H when i abort the job, to use it again.

Can anyone help me, please?

Cheers,
Guido

The old story ... You obviously tried to specify the usage by selecting the devices for a pool.

You did not tell us whether you have the library attached to the same storage node. If this is true you also must send the data to a different node.

Also, make sure that media for that pool is only available in the right jukebox.

How else could i do that?

yes i have only 1 server wich is the storage node. What do you mean send to a different node?

that media is only in the old lib available.

thx so far
Guido

Pretty easy - just make sure that media from that pool is only available in the jukebox you want to use.

Please give me a feedback if this would not work.

Hi,

i have that media only available in the jukebox i want.

but it does not work....

Let's stop guessing. Why don't you provide more details about the groups, clients & pools you are having trouble with.

what do you mean with mor details? shall i paste all data from screen here?

At least the key info from nsradmin or the resource files will most obviously help.

hi 605,

sry for late answer, but i had a big crash here...

Now, i don't know nsradmin, and which resource file did you mean?

OK, what i need are

Group
- name
- level

Client
- save set
- level

Pools
- Groups
- Client
- Save Set
- Level

Again - do not select devices in a pool!
