Second internet address

Hi,
I have got a problem. Some people want to have a second internet address and I do not how to make it possible.
For instance, my address is jeyre@domain and I also want to receive mail when the receive field is jane.eyre@domain.
I have tried to change the person document but it does not work.
Does anyone know if it is possible?

Put the e-mail address in the 'Short name/UserID' field in the person document under the name that is already in there
