Hi, Simple one I hope.

I have a SECC 4.2 that I want to change the administrator password on.

Here's the question: is it just a simple matter of changing the password in computer management/local users/Administrator?

I don't want or need to change the Ngenxxx passwords.

Many thanks.

Are you referring to the operating system Administrator password? If so, then you are fine just changing it in computer management as you described.

Assume you are NOT referring to the sysadmin password for the application.

You're correct, just the server admin account password.

sysadmin account not changing

Many thanks for clearing that one up!

You can change windows acount, but you need change in windows service "mas_backup" password too.
