Searching by Date

I have a report that shows all 310 records from a query. I have one field called stopdate, I want to do search in the field stopdate so that it only shows the records that correspond to the date that the user will insert in the beginning of the report in a text box.

The report would look like this,

"Please enter a date into the text box"
05/30/05

City Company stopdate
Kalamazoo Brakes Inc. 05/30/05
Detroit Cars Unlimited 05/30/05
Mackinaw Granny's Fudge 05/30/05


Any ideas on how to set up this text box in reports to only show the records with the corresponding dates?

Change the record source of your report to something like

SELECT * FROM YourTableNameHere WHERE stopdate = [Please enter a date];
