Search Problems

hi,

when I test the search tool on a site collection site I created it works fine when I have internet explorer open and I am connecting to the localhost, but when I try and use the same search on the live system, by live I mean connecting to the website from an external internet connection I get the error

Go back to site
Error

Unknown Error
Troubleshoot issues with Windows SharePoint Services.

Any ideas?

Did you ever get this figured out? I'm having the exact same issue.
