Access 2003 gives error message "search key not found Run time Error 3709" on update query for one of the tables in the database. Repair and condense tool will allow the query to run properly. Is there a remedy for this besides continually rerunning the repair and condense tool. Table has about 10,000 records and 20 different fields. Will deleting half the table solve this problem? Manual deletion of data from the table gives the same error message until repair condense tool is utilized.

Compact and Repair, I assume. This is normally advised in the wake of the error message you report because it fixes database corruption (i.e. it isn't necessarily the size of the databse that is the problem). The fact that it continually corrupts is a bt of a worry though, and suggests that your update query is trying to do something it should not ... (e.g. there is a known bug in Access linked to indexing memo fields that are too large; not saying this is your specific issue, though, just that your update query may be triggering somethihng like this)

You still have have for Memo: type - Note, Indexed - Yes (no duplicates).
