Search key not found in and record

Hey ALL - heres my dilema -

trying to delete a record in access 97 and i get the following meassage: "Search key not found in any record".

I have installed the latest jet driver and tried to compact and repair the database with no luck, still get the error message. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Look for a field name with a space in it that does not have quotes or square brackets.

There are no field names with a space, that do not have quotes ao square brackets.
 
if you would like to send a zipped copy of your mdb to me, I will look at it and see if I can find anything.

i dont think that would be a good idea, but what would you be looking for ???
