Hello, I am completely new at Access and i was making a small application for my company, I have tried repeatedly to do a search form but it always comes out bad, I am only working with a main table which containes the following fields:

CAT
BL
Assigned To
QC Agent
Opened Date
Time In
Shipper
Consignee
Time Sent

All i want to do is create a form where i can pick the Shipper and Consignee and shows the last "x" amount of results containing that shipper and/or consignee in the table, can anyone help?

So you want to filter the table down based on criteria and the bottom x records and you are new to Access... Let me take you through the steps as if you know how to do them...

1 If you do not have a field that is unique in your table, you should add an autonumber field now and make it your primary key.

2 Add unbound contols (possibly comboboxes) for your criteria fields and a text box for your X.

3 Make a query that returns your Unique value only but also uses the unbound fields as criteria other than X.

4 Sort in your new query descending so that the most recent record is first.

5 Modify the query to return the top X records.

6 Use the query to filter the form.

Now the question is how much of that can you get through on your own? Hopefuly you have a good Access book.
