How can a search for and extract all distribution lists in my AD. I would like to do a clean up and there are tons of them there?

Group types:

Security: Global
groupType: -2147483646

Security: Local
groupType: -2147483644

Security: Universal
groupType: -2147483640

Distribution: Global
groupType: 2

Distribution: Local
groupType: 4

Distribution: Universal
groupType: 8

Option1 (text)
This will give you a domain dump of all distribution domain local groups:
ldifde -f filename.txt -d dc=domain,dc=local -r "(grouptype=4)"

Option2 (GUI)
You could also use find option in ADUC. Choose advanced option and custom search.
It will give you a window to enter LDAP query. Just type (grouptype=4) and click "find now"

Just to add to my last post.
If you want to get all three group types at once then filter using this criteria:
(|(grouptype=2)(grouptype=4)(grouptype=8))

Thanks Sutors - I just learnt something new today :)
