SE backup / restore suported servers

At documentation it is stated "You can set any Linux Server as the backup and restore location. To create a dedicated IP Office Linux server for backup and restore, install an IP Office Application Server without enabling the Voicemail Pro and one-X Portal for IP Office applications on that server."
Is that mean that for backup & restore action it is only supported IP Office Application Server?
Since I could not manage to use other Linux file server for that purpose (just manage to work with Application Server).
Any experience and 'how to' that could be shared?

SE and Application Server are configured to accept backups from another SE/AppServer, but you could use any ftp, sftp, scp, http or https server to send backups to.

Hi janni78,
that I how I understand it from manual, but when I try to use Linux RG7 as file server (defined as Remote Server in Web Management)just 'preparing for backup' info was displayed and then nothing (no more info and backup was not transfers). I tried using same credentials (as set in Remote Server) at WinSCP from my PC and even from SE (Linux CLI) in both cases transfer works!

Remote Server defined as:

When use this to backup at WebManager/Solution/Backup backup is just prepared but not transferred.
WinSCP from my PC and even from SE (Linux CLI) - in both cases (with same parameters as set at Remote Server) transfer works!
