We just upgraded all 7 systems from 4.0 to 6.0 and need to introduce sharing. We do not have resiliency set up nor do I plan on implementing any time soon. So my question is what forms should I share? Just the Tel Directory and networking forms? As you can imagine there are many errors and it would take quite some time to go through them all if we continue to share all.

What info is shared is largely up to you.
There is a number of forms which will be auto shared and you cannot change them.
However you might like to consider sharing the basics
COS
Feature access codes
System options
SMDR
SNMP

If and when you go resilient then you will need to enable lots of others if you want the resiliency to work correctly
Call re routing
Keys
System speed calls
etc.

If they were not shared before you probably have a fair bit out of sync in the common forms such as Feature Access Codes and COS.

The system default for sharing is quite extensive so I typically turn it off unless I know it to be the same on all systems.

Then, time permitting, I turn anything back on that I can after I've cleaned up any descrepancies.

There's a convenient form comparison utility.

I think I will start with the basics, at this time the most common use is 4 digit dialing between sites and some DID routing to linked systems.. i.e copper caller to controller A gets rerouted to Ext on controller B. So I guess I would need to share the Tel Directory as well as the IP Networking forms (most likely one of the ones you cannot change).. any others to achieve this basic functionality?

Teldir is shared by default you cannot un-select it
IP trunking forms are probably the only forms that are not shareable (which is a major PITA when adding a new system to an existing multinode network as you need to add all the info into all the systems

With everything turned off that you can turn off, 4 digit dialing and Tel Dir will still work.

Supernova - PITA is putting it nicely. It's all right if you're doing them all at once as you can set up import forms and such but adding 1 site to an existing cluster. PITA for sure.

That really sucks because in the coming months I need to add another controller to the IP cluster... so I will need to do it all manual on all controllers... that does suck !!
