Hello

been setting up a vmcd system as a user controller and a mxe3 as a trunking gateway can make calls via the ip trunk and incoming is working great

but i have tested res phones today and i have found that even if i select the 2nd controller in the user the number is not added to the rdn form on the mxe

both are ent license controllers

i have done full sds sync but still having problems

anyone got any clues or ideas on whats going on ?

The phone will not be added to the RDN form on the local system unless it is made resilient to another controller

The RDN forms of Shared systems will update with the DN

If this is not happening it could be because the systems are either not synced properly or that you are not migrating the data properly

i am doing a full sync which is completing with 2 errors voicemail and AA

also when you say migrating what do you mean this is a new install so both have been built on 5.0 spa pr1 so no migrating has been done from 9.0 to mcd

Migration / repair of sync

Required when the systems are configured to sync after data that would normally be synced has already been programmed on the system

Initiating the sync only starts the process, it is not retroactive

Migrating is typically required when a new system is added to an existing cluster of synced systems. There is a particular order of the way you should do this

If any of this sounds like your issue then we can help

Have you tried crating a new station to see if it will sync?

Have you checked your logs?

right got it working for all users apart from 1
problem was being caused due to another engineer building the vmcd from a backup which was already using the ceid for my new controller changed the ceid in both and did a sync of service hosting then tel dir and worked fine

as I say just 1 user will not apper in the rdn on the res system

Try and clear that user from all systems and rebuild.
