The system is a CS1K Cabinet, Rls6.0. Looking at TTY 0 and TTY 3 below, is there a conflict between the Port number, 0, for each device. TTY 0 comes from the CPPM card and TTY 3 comes from the MGC card. They have different DNUM and TTY numbers.
Bonus question: Why doesn't TTY 0, "CTYP CPSI" have the "DNUM" option? Should I have defined TTY 3 as DNUM 0, Port 0? The SDI cable connectors are labeled 0,1,2. TTY 3 is delivering CDR.

TTY 0 is fixed. The MGC card supplies additional SDI ports. The device number separates the hard ware.

In your case TTY 0 is programmed direct onto the CPU card. As started above, it's means a proper serial port and gives you more control.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.
