I have (2) DORS-32160 IBM SCSI3 hard drives they have what appear to be a male connector, next I have a SCSI connector on my MB (ASUS) which is a 68 pin Ultra 160 connector
but the two don't go together, the SCSI connector on the ribbon cable appears to be slightly smaller than on the drives.
I've lived a sheltered IDE life, what sort of adapter do I need?

TIA

Correction:

For an SE cable the adapter noted above is correct. The drive is SE and the comment about LVD is not relevant and should be stricken. SE mode will be forced by either/both this drive model or the above noted adapter even if the cable and SCSI HA are LVD.

If you have 80 pin, be carefull of converting it, some drives might not work properly

you can order a kit from Seagate to convert it, 80pin are hot plug drives, kit will take the 80 pin and splite up the data part and the power part

Went a new and more easier route...bought the right hard drives!

Thanks for all the suggestions, I need to get in the SCSI swing of things!

if you use SCSI you won't regret, it rocks, when you start hammering multi task, you will see what i mean
