help .. i my have a virus or what ??????
do you know a free utiliti tha recognized scsi hard drive ????

May be a diagnostic with your SCSI adapter. Either as part of the SCSI BIOS or as a program supplied with it.
Might help if you would tell us about your machine.

ok lets sey that the controler is bad then way the other 18 gb hdd works perfect on the same controler without any problems ... so is not the controler is samething else

Probable drive problem. Either the controller board on the drive, or the drive not spinning up, of crashed data.
Have you tried to see if the adapter has diagnostics. Bus scan? Media test?

i have replaced the logic board on the hard drive but is still not working the drive is spining also
dou you know a software utiliti to test the scsi hard drive in dos ??

The manufacturer usually has a diagnostic. Seagate's is seatool. I would suspect that the adapter manufacturer will have something.
Does the adapter do a bus scan? And if so does it see the drive.
With that drive only, you should be able to fdisk with something like 98SE.
And you mentioned virus. There are virii that move the partition table, so working with the drive by doing something like fdisk /mbr would wipe out access until you did a partition table rewrite.

Hi, I know this post is old but did you mtach the PCB correctly to the drive?

have a nice PCB stock search if they have your correct firmware rev :O)
