Hi all,
just found this website and quite nice to have people here with knowledge about the CV system. Anyway I'm quite new to this and I got this error and not sure what it means because the actual server is not connected directly to the CV library but through a MA on another box that control the library. Now the SCSI control on the box that control the library is working fine because other servers did backup ok. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

"Failed to mount media with barcode [XXXXXX], side [A_4480], into drive [QUANTUM_SDLT320_1], in library [XXXXX] on host [xxxxx]. SCSI Operation: Open Drive Device. Reason: SCSI-2 Reservation Command to the Drive failed. Advice: Please make sure that drive supports SCSI-2 Reserve/Release Commands and that it's not reserved by any third party application.

Hi

Is the RSM (Removeable Storage Manager) service disabled at the OS level?

Thanks for reply Birky. We found the problem, it was the SCSI controller of the MA some how lost connectivity with the library, I guess we should have check there first. Rebooted the box and things are ok now.
