Hi,

From the ok prompt, whenever I boot, I get the following error:
/pci@1f,4000/scsi@3/sd@0,0 (sd0)
Error for Command: read(10) Error Level: Fatal
Requested Block: 8467048 Error Block: 8467086
Vendor: IBM Serial Number: 00391GF435
ASC: 0x11 (unrecovered read error), ASCQ: 0x0 FRU: 0x0

/dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s7: CANNOT READ: BLK 6539840

I give root passwd and enter single user mode and run
fsck /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s7
same error comes out and then drops to:
CANNOT READ: BLK 7154832
CONTINUE?
Program Terminated
#

I type exit, then machine continues to boot and does eventually come to the login screen:

Also, when I probe-scsi from the ok prompt, it goes into a loop with 'bus error' running down the screen. It will continue like this until I power down the machine. Any help, suggestions, tips, or ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

that sounds icky...what's on slice 7? Is that your boot slice? do you have other devices on the scsi chain?

If your boot disk has a bad sector you might want to try booting from a cdrom and fsck'ing the bad file system from that session - that way it's not trying to fix a drive that it's currently using.
