Scrolling Number Creation easy?

is there an easier way of creating a scrolling number look. Say it just counts from 1-9 fast and lands on the appropriate number that I designate.

thanks, I managed to find some explanation from Flash Kit that someone already created. All I had to do was create a lot of key frames.
