scrolling dynamic text without scrollbars

I am totally new to Flash. I have a file that is not quite done, but I am trying to show to the client. There is one more aspect that I need to get done, before I can complete the look. Here's a link:

Across the bottom you will see yellow text that is loading into a dynamic text field from an external file. I would like that text to scroll from right to left continuously without a scrollbar. Sort of the Wall Street Ticker effect.

Can anyone please help me to do this. Please keep in mind that I have no Flash programming experience.r

Thanks for the help. I downloaded the component and have placed it on my page. I think I can figure out the basics, but I don't see anywhere to link to an external text file. Can this be done with this component? It's very important that I be able to do that.

Thanks so much for the help. I got desperate yesterday and ended up purchasing a component from someone online. They have a nice ticker that does some pretty cool stuff.

Anyway, their tech support got me through it so it was worth the $30.

Have a great day. Again, I am totally new to Flash. Can you guys recommend any books or online courses that can get me going from the ground up? I'm pretty happy with my first effort, but honestly not exactly sure how everything that I did works and I really want to learn.

Hi Bill

I downloaded the fla file from the link you posted. Ran the swf on my pc and it displayed the text from the text file. Now then, I have an fla that has some animation on the top and space at the bottom to display a scroller (just like yours) and read the contents from the text file. So what I did was copied your code into my fla, copied the dynamic text box as well. When I run the file I get the error

**Error** Scene=Scene 1, layer=stroke, frame=1:Line 9: #initclip/#endinitclip only allowed on frame 1 of Movie Clip symbols.

Total ActionScript Errors: 2 Reported Errors: 2

I don't know much about flash, but I am desparate to get this working. Can you please help with with my problem
