Platform - NDC thin client front-end (X-terminal), HP-UX back-end.

I'm scratching my head a bit here and wondered if anyone had any ideas.

On some X-terminals we are experiencing problems with our Database Help program (Tcl/Tk). On other X-terminals it works fine. (It doesn't seem to be linked to the HP-UX box, as one X-terminal on a HP-UX box will work OK, whilst on another X-terminal on the same HP-UX box, it won't).

The problem is that on the affected X-terminals, the window doesn't display any scrollbars.
Also, when the utility starts up it is displayed in a full window, rather than a smaller window.

I'm not sure if this is a new problem or an old problem that has not been seen/reported before.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Gary

I'm not very experienced with Tcl/Tk and so I'm not sure what parts of the code would be of interest to post them (the program is over 600 lines long).

Regards,

Gary

I doubt it's the code since the same code works differently depending on the terminal, right?

Is there any other observable difference (not necessarily associated with Tcl) among the x-Terms?

When you say that the scrollbars are missing, could it be that they're just the same color as the background? Have you tried manipulating the space where they should be?
