I am looking to load a relatively high volume of data into our MIMS 4.3.1.2 system.

Can anyone supply examples of scripts- MINT or otherwise that would work for this task, and provide guidance on configuring? Thanks.

Craig,

What type of data are you looking to load?

My colleagues and I have a great deal of experience with scripting data into/out of MIMS. My general advice is that up to ~5000 rows is scriptable: beyond that, use a COBOL loader. (I absolutely do NOT recommend that you SQL directly to the database - BADMEANUGLY things happen). COM-based loaders run more efficiently with "MSQ" data than with "MSO" data; roughly 60 - 65 records per minute.

Thanks for that...

The data consists of approx:

4500 MSQ600 records
4000 MSQ690 records and associated volatile text
6000 MSO700 records

Held in load format spreadsheets.
