Hello all,

I am creating a workshop/seminar on Scripting Automation for the non-programmer.

There are a couple markets (needs) that I have identified:
1) IT Departments & IT Professionals (consultants)
- looking to boost value to the organizations they serve
Tools: VBScript, Kixtart, and some VBA

2) Business Analysts, Project Managers, Operations
- looking to create streamlined operations and utilities
Tools: VBA (MS Office Automation)

What would be an appealing value-proposition for you (or for those organizations you work with)? Not, what would you spend but why would you or your company spend money on such training?

I have my ideas on this already but I would love as much feedback or ideas on this as possible.

Thanks.

I have thought about doing something like this for some time as well. I would be very interested in hearing ideas.

As a consultant, I would be interested in something like this. I just took a 4 day class that cost $1,500.

You might also consider the possibility of webcasting or recording this info and making it available via the web on a subscription basis.

mmorancbt, it doesn't look like there is a lot of interest on this topic here. I would really like to continue this disscussion with you. I realize that posting emails here is taboo and I am hesitant to break the rules, but since there isn't any way to do private messaging on this board, I think I have a workaround. I have a spamgourmet.com account. If you have never used this service before, I highly recommend it. Essntially I am going to give you an email address and the first message sent to it will be forwarded to my real email address. All the rest will be eaten by spamgourmet and I will never even know that they were sent. Again, I don't like going outside the rules but I could not think of a better solution to start a private dialog. I look forward to hearing from you. Here is the address:

With the dots and the at replaced with the appropriate symbol of course.
