ScreenSaver lockups

help everytime i run one my pewter locks up. what could it be?

It would help to know what kind of computer, type of video card & ram plus the type of screen saver.

Pionex computer
w/ ATI rage pro graphics card
96meg ram pc100
and any screen saver that has a lot of graphics

The first thing I would attempt is installing the reference video drivers from ATI, and then re-install directx or service pack 6 if you are using NT.

ok no change still locks up on high graphic screen savers

What kinda of screensavers?
Where did you get it from?
Many are badly written.
Is it Slideshow? DELETE IT
