I moved my pc. And when I put it back on line, (I play quake 3 a lot), the screen would not fill out all the way. Using the + and - keys work but there is a 1/2" dark area all around the q3 playing area. I deleted the config.cfg and auto exec config and the full screen was restored.Today when I went into q3 again it was reduced in size again. I put back some of the binds that were missing and it played ok till this am. Win xp home. Just upgraded to 9800 pro a month ago. Any one have any ideas?? Thanks, studboy

Try using the Quake video settings and make sure it says "full screen."

The slider for the screen size was full open. However, I think I found my problem. The video setting in the game was set at 640x480 and my video card was set at 1024x768. After
making them the same, my screen filled out. Thanks for the reply.
