Screen Saver is Disabling Itself

I have two users on my network that their screen savers automatically disable. I triple checked our group policy and this is not being set there.

Users can re-enable the screen saver and then later in the day it will be disabled again. What could possibly be doing this?

Both P.C's run Windows 2000 Pro SP4 with all latest updates.

What is the setting reverting to? Are these password protected?

Yes the screen saver is password protected (or at least is intended to be). The settings revert back to as if there is no screen saver specified and no password is required upon resume.
