Screen resolution changes when changing to another computer 2

Hi:

I was wondering if anyone has seen this problem before. When I start a Citrix session on my laptop, and then disconnect it and re-attach to the same session from my PC the screen resolution keeps changing and I have to scroll up and down to see all icons on my desktop. I can't quite understand why, since I keep both the PC and my Laptop at the same resolution 800 x 600.

Has anyone seen this problem and can help me.

It's caused by keeping the same Citrix session open. If you actually log off from the Metaframe server and log on again it will resolve itself. I prefer the speed of having all my troubleshooting apps open and running thus have to put up with different resolutions on each PC I log in from. :}

Hey:

Thanks for the response. Do you know if there is a work-around or patch that will prevent this from happening? Was just wondering. My Boss likes to work from multiple computers and, like you does not like to log-off entirely, just disconnects.

As far as I know no. I'm a Citrix certified admin, but only learn/know what I have to to make things work the way we wish. I asked the Metaframe experts ( they deal with it all day ) we hire in SoCal to help with our southern office, and they did not know of one either.

I've just learned to work around it. As long as the screen I'm logging in from is at least 1024 x 768 I'm ok. The few in the company who use 800 x 600 are another matter.
