My computer freezes and I cannot get it running until I turn it on and off several times. When I purchased this computer I was told I could run a business with it. Everyone I have told about this problem said it is a memory problem. I have deleted as much as possible. Please advise me as to what is the problem.

hi,
may we know what system u r referring to??

PC or mainframe or As/400???

Memory problems don't necessarily mean data on your hard disks. Normally it refers to a memory DIMM being faulty.

Is it a Netfinity box?

My computer keeps freezing up.
T have a e-machine tower with windows 98.
Do I need a new computer?
Mine is 4 yrs. old.

u'd better write ur machine spec.
can u check all automatic activated pgms & startup pgms?
did u check the swapper size?
if these r done,
my recommendation is re-install windows.
if u had nt( or 2k or xp) , these r better.
1st, backup ur application data and review ur
partitioning. use fdisk.exe or others.

be careful not to delete ur important applications.

i beleave that the paformance will be better.
