Howdy,

I've been fiddlin with the Screen Designer with the intent of adding a check box for a user field to the Manual Production Order Entry screen. (PP0301M) I had used check boxes as a similar flag in an order entry screen, so I wanted to keep things similar. However, upon testing it I noticed that the check box was not saving any data to the PPORDLIN table, nor was it maintaining the mark when modifying the order more than once after the initial save. I also tried adding multiple user fields as check boxes on that screen, and all user field check boxes would end up marked if any were marked upon save.

I converted the field I needed to a combo box and everything worked fine with just a Y/N option. I would still prefer to use a check box though for this situation if possible. Has anyone encountered a similiar problem to this?

Macola Version: 7.5.102e
Database: Btrieve w/ Pervasive SQL v7.0

Thanks for any ideas/input.

I've seen this problem before, a long time ago. This has been resolved in current versions of the product. The workaround you produced with the combobox was the standard workaround for this issue.

To resolve you can always consider upgrading, but I'm presuming that is not an option?

I appreciate the reply. Was guessing upgrading was the likely answer.

I've been considering upgrading to a SQL server version sometime this summer. The current version has been meeting all of our internal needs just fine, or at least with a little tinkering here and there. So an upgrade would probably be more to my benefit, perhaps a performance increase for others as well? We only have 7 Macola users now (Down from 25 two years ago) and I have a very tight budget. I'm sure you get the picture. :/

Thanks again,

David
